Congratulations! Prof. Ching-Chi Hsu and his students were selected as the Best in Show winner for the 2016 ANSYS Hall of Fame Competition.

Associate professor Ching-Chi Hsu of Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology and his students, Bo-Yu Shih and Ci-Syuan Wong, were selected as the Best in Show winner for the 2016 ANSYS Hall of Fame Simulation Competition (City University London and Leibniz University Hannover were also selected as the winners). This teacher-student team from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology used ANSYS Workbench to model the human upper body to explore different surgical techniques and physiological movements. The model succeeded in identifying the extent of cervical degenerative disc disease before and after treatment. This study was cooperated with Dr. Kao-Shang Shih from Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital.
